Further to last week's announcement of a research project with Oregon State University, we are also developing a design study of palm lumber with ArtCenter College of Design in Pasadena, CA.

This program will explore design applications and fabrication techniques working with the material. Students will have the benefit of technical data produced through the OSU program and will have a hands-on experience with palm. From this we will gain valuable input from the students and the school on what they have learned and what they have produced with the material. They will be early pioneers in the exploration of this material and will no doubt have a lot of fun as well. We look forward to this work in the spring of 2017 and will have further updates and imagines as the work progresses.
